A new service will allow citizens to address environmental concerns and report incidents in green areas (05/06/2013)

The Department of Environment launches Green Line service, a website for direct communication with the public so that anyone can report environmental queries and incidents in urban green areas and trees, as well as bike paths, parking for bikes and municipal.

The Councillor for the Environment, Adela Martinez-Cache, explained that with the implementation of this service, the city of Murcia is intended to provide citizens and businesses with a direct communication channel to promote citizen participation and improve knowledge of environmental issues .

This new channel of communication between citizens and the Department of Environment are in addition to existing as from tree to tree, that through an email, citizens can report any incident on urban trees.

To access the service, simply connect to the website created for the purpose.

Once registered, the user may raise any environmental level consultation and will answer within 24 hours Max.

In addition, you can also make known to the City Council any issues it detects urban green areas and trees, as well as bicycle lanes, bicycle parking and municipal bike.

This website has a mobile app, which can be downloaded via Google Play or APP Store, selecting the application Green Line.

Once you open the phone, you decide whether to ask a question or report an incident.

The procedure is very quick and easy.

Through mobile, citizens will have to select the type of category incidence (parks and gardens, cycling trails, bike lanes and public bike, environmental education, noise, atmosphere etc ...), the application is responsible for automatically detecting the exact coordinates where the user is located and may attach a photograph with a brief explanation.

The City receives notice of consultation and begin the process for resolving the incident detected.

Once resolved, the citizen receives notification on his mobile.

Green Line provides extensive information on environmental legislation, management systems, waste, recycling, noise pollution etc ... It also serves as a basis for consultation on administrative procedures, grants and subsidies.

This system, sponsored by Ros Roca Group is already present in cities like Alicante.
