The Mayor promotes the initiative to provide housing for families who have lost Murcia home for unpaid mortgage (18/01/2013)

Chamber Hall promotes adherence to the agreement that triggers the social background of rental housing.

The Mayor, Miguel Ángel Cámara, accession boosts the City of Murcia to the agreement that allows the creation of a fund to provide housing for rent cheaply for those individuals and families who have been evicted from their usual residence for failure to pay mortgage and who are in particularly vulnerable social.

That agreement was signed yesterday by the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces, the Ministries of Economy and Competitiveness, Health, Social Services and Equality, Development, Bank of Spain, the Platform of the Third Sector (NGO), the banking supervisory and 33 banks.

The Fund will have a stock of 6,000 homes owned by banks and savings banks involved in the deal.

Of these, 180 and BMN gives Sabadell Bank 250.

Accommodations will be provided for amounts ranging between 150 and 400 euros per month and housing applicants must meet certain requirements set out in the text.

The social services department of the City Council will assess the situation and social risk applicants face to prioritize allocations.

The Mayor is confident that this initiative would assist in alleviating the plight that represent evictions for families.

In this regard, the Chamber hopes the agreement serves to "relieve the social condition of Murcia, as a result of the crisis, they have found impossible to deal with their loans and have been forced to flee their homes."

As recorded by the text, the municipal social services have a period of fifteen days to prepare the report on the status of applicants from the moment in which credit institutions send them information on petitioners.

In addition, the Council will also provide information and advice on the process for applying for housing.

Be able to benefit from this measure persons who have been evicted from their residence and meet the following conditions:

1.

That eviction has occurred as a result of an application for execution by default on a loan, initiated by the same entity that constitutes the social housing fund.

2.

That the eviction occurred from January 1, 2008.

3.

That at the time of submission of the application is in the following circumstances:

- The set of monthly income of the members of your household does not exceed the limit of three times the indicator Public Multiple Effect Income (1,597 euros under current IPREM).

- That no member of the family unit home ownership available.

4.

That of course is in a particularly vulnerable.

To this end, be construed as such any of the following:

- Large family.

- Unit-parent family with two or more dependent children.

- Family unit of which it forms part, at least, less than three years.

- Family unity in which some of its members have declared more than 33% disability, dependency status or disease that permanently incapacitated to perform a work activity.

- Family unity in which the debtor is unemployed and have exhausted unemployment benefits.

- The family unit who live in the same household, one or more persons who are united with the mortgage holder or your spouse by blood relationship to the third degree of consanguinity or affinity, and that one of its members is in personal situation of disability, dependency, serious illness incapacitate them temporarily or permanently to perform a work activity.

- Family unity in which there is a victim of domestic violence.
