The Murcia can see first hand the work performed by these associations cooperation with municipal support.
The exhibition will be in Santo Domingo until Sunday.
This year, for the first time, has organized the program "Education in Development" in the schools of the municipality, where talks have been held, exhibitions and competitions.
ONG'D 22 associations and participate in this year's Fair Cooperating that inaugurated this morning the Mayor, Miguel Ángel Cámara, accompanied by the Councillor for Equality Policies and Development Cooperation, Alicia Barquero, in the Plaza de Santo Domingo.
This third edition of the show, which will be open until Sunday, is part of the events organized by the city to commemorate the Day of Cooperating with which it seeks to highlight the work being done with the ONG'D support of Murcia.
This is to make society aware of the need to help the poorest countries and also to publicize the work of volunteers.
The exhibition has the support of the Foundation CajaMurcia.
This day is celebrated on September 8, coinciding with the date of the Millennium Declaration, adopted by the General Assembly of the United Nations in 2000 and signed by 189 countries worldwide.
The objective of this initiative is to pay tribute to people who go to work in developing countries, either in cooperation projects and humanitarian aid in areas that have experienced disasters.
Projects working in the municipality ONG'D cooperating cover essential needs for the population of the least developed countries in the fields of health, education, productive, social services, governance and humanitarian aid mainly.
Providing health care in doctors' offices, building schools, promoting productive through the creation of small communities, cooperatives and micro-enterprises, and projects to support municipalities.
The cooperation of the City has allowed ONG'D have been working mainly on projects in South and Central America and Africa, especially in:
- Africa: Algeria (Sahara), Democratic Republic of Congo, Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Tanzania.
- Central America: El Salvador, Nicaragua, Honduras.
- South America: Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador, Paraguay.
- Asia: India, Indonesia and the Philippines.
- Europe: Spain (awareness projects), childcare and Bosnia Sahrawis.

The Fair opened today puts the finishing touch to the events held to mark the Day of Cooperating.
During this week there have been other activities, such as exhibitions at the Municipal Center of El Carmen by Mainel Foundation, entitled "Self-Portrait of poverty" and the NGO Makua, which develops its work on Mozambique.
The program has also involved the collaboration of the Foundation FADE (Development Aid Education Foundation), which has given a talk to disseminate their work in school Jesus Maria de Murcia, and the NGO Solidarity Surgery, which has presented a documentary about her work in Cameroon.
Developing Educating
In addition to the work done by NGOs abroad, this year has been organized in the schools of the municipality the business plan "Education in Development", led by the Department of Equality Policies and Development Cooperation, the to sensitize schoolchildren about the needs of certain countries.
To do this, students hosted events related to peace, education, women, water, health, books, family or the environment.
