Professor Jose Espin, of Northwestern University in Chicago, has been awarded the Young Investigator Award of the XXVII Conference of Industrial Economics, held last week at the University of Murcia.
The meeting at the Faculty of Economics and Business at a hundred Spanish universities and experts from the U.S., UK, France, Germany, Holland, Sweden and Italy, among others.
The sessions were presented and discussed over seventy Industrial Economics topics as business strategies, consumer behavior, media and industry of telecommunications innovation and business competitiveness, among other issues.
The opening session was by Professor of the University of Virginia (USA), Simon Anderson, while there were two plenary sessions chaired by Professors Claude Crampes, University of Toulouse (France), and Hans-Theo Normann, University Heinrich Heine in Dusseldorf (Germany).
Teachers also participated Richard Green, Imperial College of London, and Wielland Müller, University of Vienna and University of Tilburg (Netherlands).
The meeting was sponsored by the departments of Applied Economics, Economic Analysis and Quantitative Methods for Economics and Business.
