Socialist Party spokesman, Pedro Lopez, accompanied by Andrea Garries councilors and Susana Hernandez and other members of the Socialist Party and Young Socialists, will begin tomorrow, Tuesday the campaign to collect signatures in hospitals and health centers in the municipality against rate hikes public transportation tax on citizens by the PP.
Unbearable discrimination
With this campaign, which will run throughout the week in the university and in different places and markets supplies and city districts, the Socialist Group aims to mobilize citizens to show their radical opposition to new discrimination that has led to the rise of the bus ticket that covers the city of Murcia to districts, by which Murcia living outside the village have to pay 2.15 euros, almost double since the imposition the rate hikes.
It is unacceptable - Lopez stresses that citizens of districts suffer this rise in the price of tickets, which do not receive any subsidy, when the worst support services, and bus schedules and, now, the most expensive rates: 2 15 euros and no help against € 1.05 paid by residents around the city and whose notes have a 33 percent subsidy.
To leave his 'toy' and tackle the problem
In this sense, the Socialist spokesman again reiterating their opposition to rate hikes and accuses the mayor Chamber continue to dedicate time and effort to his 'toy' preferred (tram) that costs 10 million euros a year, and to continue unresolved the big problem is suffering public transport in the town.
"Before launching new tram lines we can not afford, we must address the economic drain that thousands of people are suffering because of the high cost of the bus," concludes Lopez.
