Murcia IU-Greens announced today that it will file motions in municipal meetings in which is represented against the "neglect" of regional and municipal administrations in relation to public transport in the town.
The coordinator of IU-Greens in Murcia, Francisco Muñoz, has indicated that the initiative will include a request that, as soon as possible, take measures to stabilize the price of the bus lines that run through the districts.
Munoz recalled that residents of the districts are paying 2.15 euros per ticket from the Aug. 14, which, in his view, is "unfair" and "it seems there is no will to solve by regional governments and local ".
He has expressed his rejection of the Plan Optimization organization that produces the Autonomous Community, both by introducing cuts to remove lines and lower frequencies as the "occult" with which it was made, as the period for comment is developed in August.
It has therefore required the opening of a new process "in which the public has information and can participate."
Has indicated that it will oppose "any measures involving the reduction or elimination of bus services in the districts", and the establishment of a single ticket price in excess of € 1.35.
"The public is once again suffering the neglect of the region and the City" stressed Muñoz, after insisting that the government "should ensure equality", so that there is no discrimination between neighbors live in a certain place.
The coordinator also claims Municipal councilor of Traffic and Transport, Javier Iniesta, to make public the arguments presented to the Optimization Plan "that are now being subject of debate" and that, as Iniesta, leading to "misconceptions" in media.
"These means are the only instrument we have hitherto opposition political groups and citizens to meet the claims of the council", was completed.
