IU-Greens present an initiative at the next Full Council of Murcia to seek review of the contract by which the company intended consistory The General a grant of 2.8 million euros a year to manage the park Terra Natura.
The municipal group spokesman IU-Greens, Esther Herguedas, considered "unacceptable" Grant said, "especially because they are cutting back on public services such as health, education and social policy", and has indicated that this amount could be built six infant schools.
Herguedas noted that the park Terra Natura, which he described as "ballast" is located in a municipal land "to be public park for the enjoyment general" but eventually privatized.
He assured that the contract "was wrong from the beginning and has led to a change in the current conditions that did not look anything like those in the beginning", and why The General won the competition in which only competed with another company.
According to the mayor, the justification of the amendment to the contract was based on increased investment in the company by expanding the planned area, the decline in visitors and improvements to meet the health requirements in the bathroom area.
"The result has been an increase in compensatory funding initially requested, which went from 343,279 per year to reach at some point three million, and currently stands at 2.8 million per year, a figure inadmissible especially in these times of crisis, "he added.
Herguedas has insisted that failure conducts contract review "will request the termination, which also includes the law itself."
