About 4,500 children have enjoyed the 90 summer schools organized in the municipality (17/08/2012)

About 4,500 children have participated during the month of July in the 90 summer schools were held in municipal spaces organized by the Department of Social Welfare and Health, the Department of Culture, AMPAS and other organizations, in collaboration with the Department of Education.

Summer Schools in the smaller part in workshops, play sports and various activities such as excursions, visits, etc..

The aim is to provide recreational and leisure spaces, while learning, and facilitate parents to reconcile work and family during holiday periods when there is no school.

The Department of Culture has organized 19 summer schools, offering 1,015 spaces.

In addition, we have launched six summer schools jointly by the Department of Culture and Social Welfare in El Carmen, Sangonera la Seca, Cobatillas, St. Pius X, Pain and Valladolises, with a total of 365 seats.

Meanwhile, the Department of Health and Social Welfare has launched July 38 for summer schools, with 1,550 seats.

25 of these summer schools summer schools and 6 of culture were held in schools, in collaboration with the Department of Education.

These activities must be added the 24 summer schools organized by Associations of Parents of the municipality (AMPAs), a school coordinated by the Neighborhood Association Bacons Bridge, another by the Municipal Board of the Port of Los Martinez and two more the Gypsy Secretariat.

These activities have been developed in schools in the municipality and have been involved around 1,400 children.
