The next day will end on September 1 deadline for candidates to work in Journalism Awards in the categories-written press and audiovisual media, digital and Human Values ​​Award, convened in its first edition by the General Police.

The awards, organized and managed by the Spanish Police Foundation, are endowed with 6,000 euros, in each of its forms, and want to reward those that best reflect journalistic work and effort of the National Police, as well as recognize the acts of agents -or people-that best highlight the dedication to service, commitment and sacrifice in its work of protection and assistance to citizens.

Journalism Awards of the National Police

The Police Department has called this year the first edition of Media Awards, organized by the Spanish Police Foundation.

Its purpose is to recognize and promote the role of media in transmitting to the working society of over 70,000 national police officers to ensure the safety of all citizens and protect the free exercise of our rights and freedoms.

These Journalism Awards have two categories: written press and audiovisual digital media.

Work will be selected that best analyze the work of the Police under the criteria of quality, rigor and dissemination.

These awards may be presented any individual or collective work, published in national media, regional or local issue which addresses the work of the National Police, functions, formation or organization, or report of any operation or specific device in which this institution has participated.

Not eligible for these awards are disclosed in ways linked to the Security Forces.

Entries must have been published between 1 October 2011 and August 30, 2012.

Each of the two forms - print media and digital audiovisual media - is endowed with 6,000 euros, a statuette and certificate of award.

Those interested should send the works, by certified mail to the headquarters of the Spanish Police Foundation in the Conde de Aranda 16, 3 ° left, Madrid.

The deadline for submission of the same will be September 1, 2012, and the jury's decision will be announced at the latest, on September 20, 2012.

The award ceremony will take place during the events commemorating the Day of Police.

Award for Human Values

This is also the first edition of Human Values ​​Award, organized and managed by the Spanish Police Foundation.

Its aim is to reward the actions of members of the National Police that best highlight the dedication to service, dedication and sacrifice of the officers in their efforts to protect and help citizens.

An award that you can also choose any citizen who has collaborated or assisted the National Police in defense of public safety.

May submit nominations for these awards any natural or legal, and public and private institutions, public administrations, or the central organs and Territory General Directorate of Police.

Not be taken into consideration autopropuestas, ie, no application may be submitted by the person who chooses the prize.

Shares recognition motif must have occurred between January 1, 2012 until the deadline for submission.

The candidate shall send a letter to narrate the action presented the prize, the identity of the nominee, the risk assumed and the danger averted, and a press kit with the impact it would have in media.

The letters will be sent by certified mail to the Spanish Police Foundation, Conde de Aranda, No. 16-3 ° left, Madrid, before September 1, 2012.

The prize is worth 6,000 euros, a statuette and a diploma and their decision will be announced at the latest, on September 20, 2012.

The award ceremony will be held publicly in the course of events commemorating the Day of Police.
