The House calls for the inclusion of first aid knowledge in Primary Education and ESO (28/06/2012)

The four political groups represented in the city of Murcia have been approved in the plenary session this morning the motion proposed by the Municipal People's Party to urge the Regional Government to request the National Government to include in the program mandatory content Elementary and Secondary Education, knowledge of first aid, road safety, self protection and emergencies.

In traffic accidents, the correct performance during the first hour called Golden Hour is a clear example of avoidable deaths due to a quick and correct action by the citizens present, who could and should be taught in the classroom.

It is important to train children and young people in first aid, road safety and emergencies, in order to raise awareness at school, as do the neighboring countries on the importance of prevention and emergency risk situations and the correct application of first aid as a way of saving lives.

The aim is to raise awareness about the importance of rapid action, poised and precise in emergency situations also involve citizens from an early age the need for prevention as the best way to prevent accidents or mitigate their consequences, and accountable their important role as citizens capable of alerting emergency services, and protect themselves and those around them.
