You can enjoy performances by Pulp, The Flaming Lips, Gossip, Mogwai, Matthew Herbert, Magnetic Fields, Buraka Som Sistema, DJ Yelle, CSS, Friendly Fires, John Talabot, Yuck, Love of Lesbian, Sebastian, Simian Mobile Disco, The Kills or Yall among many others, and sections of Mustang Art and Voices - which will address the main theme of this year, the television series.
In relation to the activity that has developed and will be developed in parallel to SOS4.8, and no doubt generate a great economic benefit to the city of Murcia should be noted the following about this year 2012:
Extending from 2 to 6 days SOS4.8 Festival activities in the city of Murcia, starting on day 1 and ending on 6 -;
Increase the supply of content via multiple parallel activities
And multiply the impact that media has had and will have the Festival, due both to the communication activities that have taken place outside of Murcia, as the agreements they reached with the media, in particular there to highlight the agreement with Canal + for the implementation of various programs dedicated monographically all sections, music, art and voices of SOS4.8.
All these activities will make an important economic benefit to the region and in particular to the city of Murcia.
Specifically, the parallel activity to the SOS 4.8 Festival this year, that has been done outside the budget is as follows:
SOS4.8Pro:
Second Meeting for Professional Independent Music, the Pro SOS4.8 stands as an annual event where they develop conferences and round tables on the market for independent music.
More than 150 professionals, both national and international debate about public policies related to culture, festivals and its future, and new methods of funding for the music market.
This year will also present exclusive and a first in Murcia, the "Inforeport on independent music in Spain" also made by the Festival and will surely attract the interest of the sector.
SOS & Docs
The First Musical Documentary Film Festival SOS 4.8 is developed in collaboration with the Murcia Regional Film and Canal +.
Documentaries will be screened in August, national and international, during day 1, 2 and 3 May.
At the same will hold presentations and discussions with certain of its directors and producers.
Talented
Talent is the new bands contest Sos Festival 4.8.
In this, its fourth edition, there have been two contests.
In the first, dedicated exclusively to the scene inidie Murcia involving more than 90 bands in the region.
The second, national, has had to turn two chapters: indie music and DJs.
Involving more than 170 bands and 90 DJs.
The final was held at the creative center Matadero Madrid.
SOS Avenue
During the day prior to the concerts of the Fica-the night of May 3, the city of Murcia will welcome those attending the Festival SOS 4.8, through its halls.
One night only where, at the hands of brands such as Estrella Levante, Jägermeister, Adidas, DAS or EIA, is scheduled concerts, showcases and DJ's in over 10 venues around town, all scheduled under the brand Sos 4.8 to which also eligible for free all citizens of Murcia.
Appetizers SOS
Finally on Sunday May 6 activities will close the Festival with concerts in the Plaza de Santo Domingo, the SOS4.8 Appetizers offer three concerts this year for free.
