Start the week dedicated to science, sea and sky at the International University of the Sea (19/04/2012)

Provide a point of reflection on relations, firstly between science and geographical area in the Mediterranean and on the other, between technology and marine environment is the goal of the course "Know How Mediterranean 2012: Science, Sea and Sky", which be held in Murcia from 23 to 26 May.

The course will cover aspects of marine sciences and technologies, as well as issues related to the importance of the sky and the light in the Mediterranean from an interdisciplinary approach.

The course corresponds to one of the five modules of "Know How Mediterranean 2012", a great event for education, culture and research focused on the Mediterranean that is part of the Sea International University and is part of the Campus of Excellence Mare Nostrum .

During the week various thematic areas will be addressed.

Every day is geared to a particular specialty, the first and last day will be dedicated to "Marine Science and Technology", the second attempt to clarify, through a series of presentations, the importance of the Mediterranean sky, water, light and culture Arab Mediterranean will be the subjects of the third day.

The course is led by Francisco Pascual Pérez Paredes, Antonio Guirao and Ramon Ruiz Merino Piñera.

The course is free, and registered students can access it 1 credit or 2.5 ECTS credits Free Elective.
