The last appointment is next Thursday, April 19, at 19 pm in the Council Chamber at the Hall Rabal Azarbe.
"Death in Venice (1912), Thomas Mann" is the name of this conference, which will focus on the symbolic vision of Venice that the renowned German writer drew with words in the novel he published in 1912.
The conference will be given by Eva Bourke, translator, doctor and professor of German Studies German Studies Department of the Complutense University of Madrid.
In 2006, his translation of "The Magic Mountain" by Thomas Mann made it worthy of Esther Benitez First Prize for the best translation.
In addition to translating other authors such as Heine and Theodor Fontane Hinrich has worked on the translation of plays and films, including "Goodbye, Lennin".
