The municipal budgets for 2012 are not austere (22/12/2011)

The mayor Juan Patricio Castro regrets that the PP of La Glorieta voted today against the six amendments proposed by the Socialist Group to stimulate local economic activity and reduce the high rate of unemployment in the municipality of approximately 50,000 unemployed.

Propaganda, per diem and travel more than 1 million euros

Would have needed only-Castro highlights that local government spending had decreased clearly unnecessary items in times of crisis such as Advertising, Advertising, Hospitality and Performing ceremonial, subsistence allowance and travel, with whom he had saved more than 1 million euros (1,100,310) that could have been designed to enhance the economic fabric and create jobs.

Surveillance and control over income

In this sense, the socialist mayor noted that the estimate of revenue that provides for the PP requires special surveillance and control by the political groups in opposition, especially when you consider that the latest assessments of the budgets for 2010 and 2011 throw percentages that clearly move away from its initial forecast.

"One thing is the role that supports everything and another reality," said Castro, who explains that it is a budget based on revenue projections from taxes of 367 million euros and other predictions which we doubt can be met, although if so, point-would be the best news because it would mean that economic recovery has begun real.

Valcárcel not help Murcia

This situation is compounded by the lack of help that the municipality receives from the regional government.

"It's amazing how the budgets of the CARM continue mistreating Murcia year after year, without face-to-house plant and claimed Valcárcel territorialized spending more equitable and fair to its citizens.

Thus, Castro recalled that the Socialist Group presented four amendments to the budgets of the CARM to Murcia could see increased territorialized transfers at least 12 million euros and would allow the City to make investments in districts and neighborhoods to get 4 million additional €; implement a program to potential industrial and commercial fabric (2 million euros); end of the 70% of the coastal sections of North and South in 2012 (4 million) and conduct a program Innovation and Entrepreneurship (2 million euros).
