Next year will begin to build up to ten new infrastructure for better management of waste in the municipality.
The environmental cluster start its operations in 2012 with the installation of the first companies
The Department of Urban Cleaning and Waste Management next year will have a budget of 56,595,653 euros.
Of this amount, 50,950,314 euros will go to the Urban Cleaning, and Waste Management, while 5,103,215 euros will be invested in the maintenance of municipal buildings.
Next year will be achieved to optimize resources so that the same investment offers the best service while ensuring 100% of the jobs.
In 2012 it carried out various actions such as:
-Provide better services to both consolidated areas, such as expansion areas neighborhoods and districts
b-Better management of waste, and promoting the collection.
c-Improved environmental sustainability of the municipality, through the use of renewable (clean), emission reduction and incorporation of conservation measures on water consumption.
d-More and better integration of the containers in the urban landscape.
e-Provision of management control systems and the latest technology, enabling real time communication between citizens, City Council and business.
f-Modernization of all cleaning equipment and waste collection for increased performance and quality in the provision of these services.
As for waste collection, the main novelty is the new service in the area of ​​Old Town, through which, in the areas of Silver, Post, Santo Domingo, Gran Via and Glorieta de Spain containers are removed by surface the system 'In-Out'.
Thus, 360 liter containers for solid urban waste will be placed only after the end of business hours and will remain until collection at midnight.
According to forecasts, in 2012, 250 containers will be installed underground (which includes 50 new points) in both the town and in villages.
Likewise, continue to provide the collection service 365 days a year, with side-loading collection 90% load and the rest back.
This year there will be 33 lateral load paths, of which 15 will be held at night in order to obstruct traffic as little as possible (now nine).
Rear cargo will be ten.
It also kept the fourteen separate collection routes (eleven at night, give us a refresher day on Sunday), the 22 glass collection routes, the route of hospitality (15 to 17 hours from Monday to Saturday) and collection service weekly markets and municipal markets.

Next year will expand the number of collection points and three new eco-parks ecoparks small fixed (now there is only the eco-park in San Ginés) to be located at Zarandona, San Jose de la Vega, El Palmar and five mobile ecopoints (there are now three ).
Other services to be maintained to highlight are:
- Cleaning of dog excrement: three bikes in the morning and afternoon.

- Elimination of Water Exchange (Puddles).
- Cleaning Botelleo areas.
- Graffiti cleaning equipment.
- Team gum remover.
- Equipment for holidays and city districts.
Next year will begin to build up to ten new facilities such as: plant selection and other lightweight containers, sludge drying plant, plant selection and bulky industrial waste, solid fuel preparation plant recovered biogas plant, blankets Photovoltaic on surface of the landfill closed, aero-generators and environmental path.
It also installed solar panels with which it is intended that the treatment center is a large factory power of alternative energies that, besides supplying the center, export the surplus electricity.
For the construction of these new infrastructures will employ over 300 people and will invest around 30 million euros.
Also next year will be born the cluster environment and bodies to be established managers and will install the first company.
The Department will continue to conduct awareness campaigns both schoolchildren and other groups.
The budget for these campaigns up from 1.5% to 2%.
Also new to the council next year is to be in charge of the maintenance service of municipal buildings.
Thus, in addition to offering this service to all buildings which currently pays, new buildings are added to the City opens and start from January.
