The Conference of Deans of the Faculties of Philosophy in Spain, held last Friday, October 7 at the UNED in Madrid, has decided to choose as the new chief justice Antonio Campillo Meseguer, dean of the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Murcia .
As vice president of the Conference has been named Angela Sierra, dean of the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of La Laguna, and as secretary Jacinto Rivera, Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy at the UNED.
This election is not just a vote of confidence Antonio Campillo, but also recognizes the important role he has been playing the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Murcia in the Spanish philosophy set, since the time of the former dean of Philosophy the UMU, José Lorite Mena, as expressed by the deans of other universities.
It is the first time the presidency of this Conference is exerted from a deanship that is not based on any of the universities of Madrid.
