Lowering the VAT and lowering the cost of electricity and fuel taxes have been some of the measures required by the popular group to support agriculture Murcia
The Plenary of the Municipal Corporation of the City of Murcia has this morning approved a motion requiring the Government of the Nation steps to encourage and stimulate farming in the municipality of Murcia.
The motion, passed only with the votes of the municipal People's Party group, has been a popular alternative to the initiative presented by the PSOE and IU municipal parties-Greens, who requested an amendment to the ordinance regulating the Property Tax.
From the popular group have insisted they are important measures needed to support and actually help farmers Murcia.
The PP has insisted that it would be essential, as effective measures that the National Government reduced the VAT, reducing the cost of electricity (which has risen very short space of time more than 60% and that is so necessary for the sector), while reducing the fuel tax, which has been rising substantially in recent years.
Alongside these measures, the popular local group has also added the government of José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero has to undertake actions that contribute actively to further the field of Murcia, to defend the products of the land and to defend local production.
