The City Council will implement an operational plan to shorten the average payment to creditors (29/07/2011)

The Department of Finance, who leads Isabel Martínez Conesa, will launch a new financial plan that will reduce the period of payment of creditors invoices and certifications for municipal and grants approved.

This operating plan and intends to break the momentum generated by the economic crisis that has suffered in administrations, and that did nothing to lengthen the average duration of payment to creditors because of lack of financial resources from other sources of income.

The implementation of this operational plan is the result of extensive effort and work that has set the Government Team of the City of Murcia to help citizens and small businesses in the municipality of Murcia, which are less able to self-defense economy.

The development of the financial planning of the City of Murcia also involves the launch in 2012 of a telematics information program aimed at suppliers, so they know at any time the state charges, also indicating the estimated payment check advance.

Note that the Treasury plan approved for the month of July 2011 provides for a payment plan to creditors municipal mass is estimated at 32 million euros, and that implementation will:

- The total amount of debt to suppliers approved until April 30, 2011.

- Payment of social emergency aid granted in May and June 2011, which will be paid all grants approved until April 30 this year.

The massive payment in which much has been done is mainly due to the good behavior of the collection of taxes such as vehicle tax (IVTM) and the Property Tax (IBI).

But the benefits do not focus solely on the payment until the above dates, but also, and it has worked especially in three months to reduce the average period of payment on the date of approval.

Before the start of the financial plan, the City Council of Murcia have made a number of priorities to take into account when acting.

The order of priority is as follows:

- Staff costs.

- Payments to financial institutions for the maturity payment arrangements by endorsement.

- Emergency social aid

- Payment to vendors for invoices small amount (less than 3,000 euros)

The City of Murcia is more than aware of the economic situation being experienced by citizens, there is special emphasis on providing assistance payment facilities to the taxpayers.
