The Municipal Socialist Group, along with IU-Greens and UPyD have this morning requested an urgent meeting of the Board of Spokesmen for addressing the problem encountered in connection with public school New School in El Palmar, whose building, as reported counseling of Education to AMPA on 18 July, is not suitable as a school and therefore as such is closed September 1.

In order to find the best solution for students in this school, the Association of Parents have requested the collaboration of the political groups in opposition to the city of Murcia CARM provide the youth center of the hamlet to use by the day and the adjoining land that are owned by the municipality in order to teach the academic year 2011-2012 in those facilities once they have been adapted to meet the needs of the educational community.

The AMPA believes that "this is the best short term solution" to the end of the period of construction of new school, expected within two years, a municipal-owned land ceded by the Session for the purpose.

The two solutions provided so far by the Ministry of Education and the mothers and fathers are not feasible, are on the one hand, the temporary placement of pupils in Los Rosales and Parraga, or take them to school in La Paz the afternoon shift.
