The Socialist Group in Parliament asked if the City plans to reauthorize the antiques market of San Andrés (21/07/2011)

Councilwoman Andrea Garries socialist raised in plenary tomorrow, Friday a question to the local government to clarify when the City plans to reauthorize the celebration of Sunday antiques market in San Andres, the celebration decided to stay earlier this month: if one is considering an alternative location where this activity is resumed.

Garries met this week with a representation of the craftsmen who have passed on their intention to become an association and expressed their willingness to follow all the instructions transmitted to them from the Department of Markets to recover the market as soon as possible .

To Garries, "the decision taken by the City only shows the inability of city authorities to solve a problem, tacitly consenting to the illegal sale by the market for months."

The PSOE mayor stressed that the antique market in San Andres, who each week was installed behind the church of Jesus, had become a prayer over the neighborhood on Sundays Murcia and its suppression, with no other alternative, it has sat as a jug of cold water not only craftsmen but also many antiques lovers, startled by the dismantling of the market.
