The project, which began in 2008, involved 10,000 people
The Department of Youth, directed by Miguel Cascales, continues to work on youth integration program Murcia, which has emerged since 2008 and aims at the integration of young immigrants, encouraging participation in youth activities of all residents in the municipality of Murcia.
It's about giving young people a role, proposed activities, and promote intercultural harmony.
In this program, working with more than 70 youth organizations, involved 200 volunteers and 10,000 people.
It also has the cooperation of other city departments, Ministry of Labour and Immigration and European Integration Fund.
Result of activities that promote youth studies are conducted, research, training courses and cultural activities and leisure living young.
Since 2008 has created an extensive network of action in which more than one hundred volunteers from different backgrounds, culture and training, are responsible for promoting activities such as workshops, youth meetings, concerts, exhibitions, workshops of various kinds, projects voluntary work.
The City Council has given its approval to the continuation of this project and request the Ministry of Labour and Immigration for a grant for its development.
