The trees will be fumigated within 12 hours
The Board of Governors approved the award of service phytosanitary treatment of existing trees and green areas in Murcia, in two batches, the company Retamar Works, Services and Environment SL, and J. Onesimus
López Baños.
The investments made by the Department of Environment amounted to 150,000 euros.
The main novelty of this contract is that for the first time is specifically included, along with treatment against other pests, treatment of the city of palm trees against the red palm weevil
Thus, although the major fumigation work is carried out between the months of May and September, the company will have available all year for a team to perform these tasks.
In order to cause the least inconvenience as possible, and used strong smelling repellents although no toxicity, treatment is performed at night from 12 pm to 6 am.
The specification further states that when necessary to spray a tree, the maximum term to realize it will be 12 hours.
