The catalog of the exhibition "Journey in Italy without time," sponsored by the Foundation CajaMurcia, and performed in Italian, Spanish and Greek, has received in Aci Castello, Catania (Italy) "Award Nymph Galatea - Lido dei Ciclopi."
Conceived and promoted by Giuseppe Giuffrida, the "Galatea Ninfa Prize - Lido dei Ciclopi" endowed with assets seized from the Mafia, with the collaboration of the Istituto di Storia scientific dello Spettacolo Siciliano.
The aims of this distinction is to sensitize the public about the importance of books and reading as primary instruments for further growth of civil society.
The Italian jury wrote: "The V edition of the award was given to Pedro Luis Ladrón de Guevara (Universidad de Murcia, Spagna) and Zosia Zografidou (University of Thessaloniki), distinguished professors of Italian literature but also refined poets and photographers, witness this beautiful exhibition and catalog, which is placed between 'those books to remember, which is all the substance of those who have forgotten' (Elias Canetti). "
The exhibition was opened last January in Lorca, and has toured some of the towns in the region such as Murcia, Torre Pacheco, San Pedro del Pinatar Jumilla).
He has also traveled to Thessaloniki (Greece), Nicosia (Cyprus).
The exhibit features 42 photographs and many other poetic compositions among which brings together texts by Rilke, Ramón Gaya, Denise Garcia, Eloy Sánchez Rosillo, Ungaretti and self Ladron de Guevara, among others, and can be seen from July 14 in Cartagena, in the activities of the "sea of ​​music."
During the award ceremony to be held on 9 July, the exhibition will be in Aci Castello (Catania), and then traveling to Moncalieri (Turin) on the occasion of the International Conference "The unification of Italy in the eye of Europe" to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the unification of Italy.
