The University of Murcia and "la Caixa" have signed a collaboration agreement formalizing the financial support it has provided the savings to R & D companies involved in the research groups of the educational institution.
In addition to this collaboration, which is given for three years and organizes the Center for Industrial Technological Development (CDTI), the agreement also provides support for the consolidation of the Technology Transfer Center at the University of Murcia, Fuente Alamo, which houses technology companies and research groups from the educational institution.
During these three years, according to those responsible for the CDTI present in the signing ceremony, the Catalan financial institution for more than 15 million euros, of which benefited about 150 research projects in the Region of Murcia.
The event, held in convalescence, was attended by the director of the TTO (Technology Transfer Office of Research Results) of the University and initiator of the agreement, Antonio Montes, which expanded the scope of the participation of "la Caixa" in socio-cultural activity at the University of Murcia.
The rector of International Relations and Research Associate, Gaspar Ros, meanwhile, praised the collaboration as an important alliance, "We will provide capital to tackle new projects and continue our policy of transferring research results to the company."
The agreement was signed by the rector of the University, José Antonio Cobacho, and Director of Business Area in Murcia of "la Caixa", Gerardo Cuartero, who noted that the box works to support the productive economy, R & D and technology, "because it is essential that financial institutions are close to the companies."
Rector joined the Quartet's words and said that the country and the Region of Murcia need a lot of economic activity and business to create employment.
