Pedro Fernandez, candidate for President of the Board of Landowners in the Huerta de Murcia, has made a visit to various parts of the province of León, both urban and rural, for insight into the recovery experiences of ethnographic heritage and hydrological and to hold meetings with technicians and experts in various fields related to real and traditional mills.

In recent days, Fernandez has traveled many places in the province of Leon to visit different projects carried out in most cases with the collaboration of various public and also co-financed from European funds.

In these projects, carried out the recovery, restoration and enhancement of various buildings, appliances and devices related to traditional life, the exploitation of water and the work of the past centuries.

As shown in the accompanying photograph, noteworthy was the visit to the mill-fulling of Val de San Lorenzo municipality, which is a traditional wooden machinery and metal that is still used by local artisans.

HUERMUR is currently working on this line, so as elsewhere, institutional collaboration and citizen participation can lead to fruit preservation and appreciation of the ancient heritage of the Huerta de Murcia and its network of traditional irrigation all have an obligation to preserve and pass on to future generations.
