The main streets of downtown will be cut tomorrow afternoon traffic by holding the San Silvestre race (30/12/2010)

More than 4,500 athletes will participate in the trial which will begin at 17 pm in La Glorieta

The main streets of downtown will be tomorrow, December 31, closed to traffic from 17 to 18.30 hours in the celebration of the popular San Silvestre race, which will bring together over 4,500 athletes.

The test is organized by the city of Murcia and the Association All Drugs.

The race will begin at 17 am in Flomesta Lieutenant Avenue (opposite City Hall) and take a journey of 7,200 meters giving two laps of the circuit follows: Lt. Flomesta, Gran Vía, Plaza Fuensanta, Jaime I, Alfonso X, Gutierrez Mellado, Doctor Joseph Sanz Tapia, President José Loustau, Obispo Frutos, Ronda de Garay Garay Paseo, Plaza of the Red Cross and Lieutenant Flomesta.

In the second round, rather than Obispo Frutos, riders will travel Ronda de Garay, bullring, C / Cigarral, C / Ceuta and Rector Loustau, in order to facilitate the transit of participants.

Lieutenant Flomesta area will be closed from 16.30 until 18.30.

The San Silvestre Murcia has many peculiarities, is one of the few races to be held on the day of San Sivestre, December 31, is an activity to combat drug, the route is through the main streets of downtown and give prizes to those groups of runners to be dressed in an original way.
