About 500 youth will participate in courses at the Department of Employment in 2011 (22/12/2010)

Around 500 young people have the opportunity to learn a trade to meet the workforce in 2011, thanks to the different training programs (occupational training, workshop schools, employment workshop, initial qualification training) that will provide the Department of Employment, Civil Protection and Development Cooperation, who heads Beatriz Hontoria.

For next year a major project is the completion of Local Police Headquarters of La Alberca, which held 50 students in the Workshop School.

Today the work begins again after being totally completed the work of the building structure.

The HQ has an area of 2,473 square meters, distributed in the basement, ground floor and three floors.

It will also work in the work of Youth Access Centre Juan de Borbon, who makes another school workshop involving 45 students.

This is a pioneering space because it is the first center dedicated to youth fully accessible.

The Department continues its commitment to provide citizens seeking employment with initiatives such as Local Job Portal, Job Club, personal assistance, guidance for entrepreneurs and the Centers for Training and Employment Initiatives (La Fica, El Palmar, Stables and Local Development Agency).

In 2010 it has launched an innovative project with the goal of finding employment initiatives in the different council, districts, business groups, etc.

Two Local Development Agents working in this new service is also responsible for promoting all the initiatives carried out by the Department.

The City continues to promote employment generation rewarding those innovative projects in Business Project Competition, which this year has reached 18 years.

In 2010 have been awarded 13 projects with 40,000 euros in prize money.

Serene

During 2011 will remain serene service offered in the Barrio del Carmen (14 serene), Los Garres (7 watchmen), center of Murcia (13 serene), El Palmar (17 watchmen) and Sucina (8 watchmen).

Civil Protection

Development cooperation

Among the main projects for 2010 is the opening of five schools in El Chaco (Paraguay), one with the name of Remigio López.
