A team of student-composed Ros Santiago Pina, Angel Pina and Carlos Pérez Alcaraz Canelles-School of Informatics, University of Murcia has achieved a silver medal in the European phase of the ACM programming contest, the most prestigious university competition programming worldwide.
The Faculty of Murcia featured three teams, each of which gained recognition and being the second highest ranked among the 17 Spanish teams are in the contest, in which students from Italy, France, Portugal, Switzerland and Austria as well Spain, whose capital, Madrid, hosted the competition.
The Murcia teams coordinator, Professor Norberto Marin, said that the Faculty of Informatics has participated in the last eight editions of the ACM and that this was the best classification obtained to date.
The preparation of the participating groups, leaving the winners of the Olympics Programming Murcia, it is for teachers of the four departments of the faculty.
