Two new youth center will double the offer of the municipality (21/12/2010)

During 2011 will open on Youth Resource Center of El Palmar and completion of works Accessible Centre Juan de Borbón

Two new youth center will double the supply of such facilities in the town of Murcia in 2011.

The Councillor for Education and Youth, María Dolores Sánchez, explained that next year will open the Youth Center in El Palmar, which will become a landmark for the town.

It is building between Athens Street and Avenue Las Palmeras (in the back of Distilleries Bernal), has 1,200 square meters in a plant.

Have an exhibition hall, multipurpose room and storage, dressing rooms, offices, computer room, hotel associations, reading room, toilets and reception area.

The investment in this book is one million euros, financed by the State Fund for Employment and Local Sustainability.

This is a new concept of youth center fully accessible to persons with disabilities.

It is building on Avenida Juan de Borbon with Miguel Indurain and the planned total investment is EUR 1,100,000, funded by the city of Murcia (950,000 euros) and the Instituto Murciano Social Action (IMAS) (150,000 euros).

The works for the foundation and building structure have been hired already.

These two new municipal center will add to the supply of 585 meters square Youth Space in Santa Maria de Gracia and La Nave, in Bacons Bridge.

This year Youth has allocated € 60,000 in prizes in this contest, which has come of age, 18.

The Department of Youth and the Center has changed based Informajoven this year, moving to the street Carlos Valcércel Chronicler, a central place where all youth services.

Informajoven Center has been an increase in visitors on your website, with 90,000 more than last year.

During 2010, 2,120,000 visits were made to the website of Informajoven, 12,000 people have come to the headquarters of the youth center for different types of information.

60 people have been assisted in legal advice for young Informajoven, and 400 have received psychosocial care, with issues mainly related to age groups, anxiety and mental health.

Academic counseling, labor has responded to 192 Infomajoven users.

The classroom free internet access has been used by more than 400 people.

In addition the Council has the support of IES students who act as correspondents Informajoven distributing information for young people in their schools during the academic year 2010/2011 there are 23 correspondents.

During 2010 it has implemented the language club, which has grown from 414 entries at startup, at the beginning of the year, the 834 entries that currently.

The objective of this initiative is the linguistic exchange among young Murcia and other nationalities.

You can participate from age 12 until age 35.

Leisure Networks has celebrated in 2010 its tenth anniversary as a consolidated program, and also to increase the number of participants has developed an international seminar on 'inclusive leisure', with the participation of Finland, Italy, Slovenia, Portugal and Romania highly valued by all participants.

Networks has attracted more than 16,700 young people this year.

It has consolidated the program Youth Integration Project in Murcia, launched in 2009, is already a benchmark in the integration of different groups of young immigrants in municipal activity.

More than 7,000 people have participated in since the launching of the project, at least 50% are immigrants.

More than 70 youth organizations, social and immigrants involved in the project.

Another major project for next year is to maintain cooperation agreements with IES of the municipality for the students to do extracurricular activities, this project has involved 12,763 students.
