Planning approved the plan for the CAM special moves financial headquarters to the street González Adalid (19/12/2010)

The building of the Caja de Ahorros del Mediterráneo Salzillo street will become a major cultural center

Urban has finally approved the Special Plan for Reform interior street González Adalid (No. 2) and Sculptor Salzillo (No. 7), with the aim of the Caja de Ahorros del Mediterráneo (CAM) moved its headquarters Financial Street González Adalid (where was La Oca), and turn your Salzillo Street building into a cultural space open to all Murcia.

The Special Plan does support the current residential use of the cultural buildings for the building of the street Salzillo, and finance for the building of González Adalid.

At present the cultural and financial applications are mixed in the headquarters of the CAM, in the street housed.

The building of the CAM on the street is 2,050 meters square Salzillo for financial use, and 1,540 square feet for cultural use.

With this Special Plan is achieved that the entire surface of the building occupied by the CAM is intended for cultural use, while building the 1,800-square-González Adalid street used for financial use.

The Special Plan is necessary because although the building of the street González Adalid is not protected, it is found in an area like the street Tatters, which has a number of limitations that are ordered with this plan.

The Special Plan and the reform of road building projects González Adalid are Clavel Arquitectos Asociados.

The financial edifice of the CAM, in Gonzalez Adalid, represents an investment of 18 million euros.

It will keep the existing facade and the back will be made translucent marble, placed in bands of three meters high, making it a unique and modern building.

Furthermore, since the facade will be made remains to see parts of the new building, pretending that the late modern building within the old.

This is a model building in terms of energy efficiency.

The implementation period of the works is approximately one year.
