Next year also will invest in increasing road safety in the area
Murcia Mayor chaired the meeting of the Board of Directors of Mercamurcia which was held this morning at the premises of the Food Unit in El Palmar.
In this meeting has reviewed the progress report of the Food Unit highlighting the success of the volume of sacrifice made in the slaughterhouse until last November, an increase of 10.98% over the same period of 2009 .
It has also been approved Annual Operating Plan for next year, which highlights an expected investment in excess of 250,000 euros, for the improvement of facilities as both Slaughterhouse Pavilions A and B of the Fruit and Vegetable Market and the general development and road safety.
Also approved the proposed rates for 2011, which will be submitted to the plenary.
The Council also approved an agreement with the Directorate General for Economy and Planning on the Mercamurcia inform the Regional Observatory of Prices of food prices, as reflected in the different activities of the Food Unit.
