The Socialist Party claims that this year's property tax revenue has soared by 12% compared to 2009 (13/12/2010)

PSOE spokesman, Alfonso Navarro, reports that in 2010 the collection of Property Tax has risen up to 92,648,000 euros, 10million euros more than in 2009 when the municipality raised by the collection of this tax 82,420. 000 euros

Socialist spokesman Alfonso Navarro, denounced the effort collector of the City of Murcia, especially in regard to IBI (Property Tax), whose annual increases and the constant increase of its revenues (six times higher than expected for CPI for 2010) show clearly the enormous fiscal pressure that exerts on PP municipal citizens.

Revenue soars

Thus, Navarro reported that revenue for IBI has soared this year over 2009 to 12 percent, rising from 82,420,000 euros last year to € 92,648,000 in 2010, 10 million more, and 26% higher compared proceeds this year compared to 2008 when the City entered for this tax € 73,459,000.

Like other years, criticized the PSOE spokesman in 2010, the PP has made municipal Property Tax in the main source of municipal revenue at the expense of plundering the pockets of Murcia.

Average increase of 98%

Furthermore, according to Navarro, the receipt of IBI has experienced an average increase in the period 2001-2011 of 98%, and 8.26% of the increase occurring in 2010 compared to 2009 and has affected a pattern of 327,000 receipts, experiencing an increase four times greater than that experienced by the CPI for the year.

"The local government, to cover up their waste and their inability to manage public resources dedicated to direct taxes rise disproportionately as the IBI of producing a systematic looting of the pockets of Murcia" ends.
