With this exhibition the artist Cristóbal Toral Cadiz, one of the major reference of Spanish magic realism, seeks to honor the Argentine writer Jorge Luis Borges with watercolors inspired by 'The Book of Dreams. "

The exhibition, which will be open until January 16, contains 23 original watercolors made to illustrate the artist's book Borges and were ordered to by the Italian publishing Toral Franco Maria Ricci to illustrate 'The Book of Dreams. "

The book, which was released in late 2005 in Italy, has six illustrations and more than a dozen sketches.

In addition, the sample is complete with a sculpture alluding to the exhibition and a book of serigraphs by Francesco Maria Ricci.

This collection of watercolors was exhibited at the Centro Cultural Borges in Buenos Aires to honor the writer in the twentieth anniversary of his death and in Rome at the book launch.

Toral (1940, Torre Alhaquime-Cádiz) has been done over his career, major exhibitions in Madrid, New York and Paris where he became famous for his realistic paintings.

For the quality of his paintings have received wide recognition: won an award at the National Exhibition of Fine Arts in 1964 and 1965, and the biennial Fiorino 1977.

He also received several distinctions, including Favorite Son's Gold Medal and the city of Antequera, Andalusia Gold Medal and, among others, Honorary Academician of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts St. Elizabeth of Hungary.

In 2009 he received the Award of Culture, Arts in the form of the Community of Madrid.

The exhibition will be open from Monday to Saturday from 12-14 hours and 18-21 hours, Sundays and holidays from 11 to 14 hours, until January 16
