Thousands of citizens for over two months waiting to see fulfilled the promise of opening the road PP Fica-Beniaján (02/12/2010)

"Once again, the commitments and agreements of the PP in Murcia are worthless," says Councilman Mark Ros PSOE in relation to the opening of the road-Beniaján Fica.

Just remember that the last full month of September, the local government rejected a motion from the Socialist Group in calling for a roundabout heading to the granting of access and exit to the residents of the Camino de Villanueva in the direction of Murcia and the hamlet of Beniaján.

Instead, he continues, the PP suggested a much less expensive and more technically useful, it was opening a service road that would connect the Camino de Villanueva in the rotunda of Canute.

In the motion, which was approved in full with the favorable votes of the PP, it was assured that the solution would be completed in a month, as stated in the text of the minutes of the plenary:

Agreement: "That after obtaining the land transfer documents, so that in the lane Blas Moreno can begin to act and that the Department of Infrastructures of the Planning Department will conclude the service road project from Villanueva lane to the Rotunda of Canute, to start immediately the implementation of this work, whose term would range around a month. With the commitment that until that road is not finished, will not open the other road "

Therefore, Ros requires the PP to immediately end these works to serve the road urgently, especially considering the Christmas period ahead, where they multiply the movement of citizens.

Lack of sidewalks, bike lanes and bus and subways

Likewise, the PSOE mayor complains that "this road is a true urban fudge", as has been reported repeatedly, since it has many shortcomings, among which are:

Lack of sidewalks in all its communication path that prevents pedestrian.

No bike path that does not allow mobility alternative to the car.

No bus lane, which makes public transport stop at a disadvantage compared with private transport.

No steps at different levels, especially at the junction with Miguel Indurain, who will become, for sure, a black dot daily jams on both avenues.

Finally, Ros said that when initiating the recruitment of this road, the PP has promised that it would cross under the avenue Miguel Indurain to avoid the barrier, and regrets that, because so many promises, it also has remained a dead letter.
