The two main concerns of universities today, the campus sustainable economic savings measures were addressed in the University Management Workshops which closed today, the chancellor of the University of Murcia, José Antonio Cobacho, in the auditorium.
Throughout the sessions, 48 managers and about 200 representatives of Spanish universities discussed the higher education costs and the need for new forms of funding to institutions more efficient and modern.
In this regard, participants at the conference have called for more government means that universities can continue to provide quality services demanded by society and expressed their optimism about their ability to successfully face the current crisis.
This case, the fundamental role of universities out of economic crisis, is another issue discussed at the meeting, also addressed the campus of excellence, sustainability, urban planning, maintenance or saving measures.
The conference was organized by the Bureau of Managers of the Conference of Rectors of Spanish Universities (CRUE).
