Isabel Abellán Chuecos, Ph.D. from the University of Murcia, has won the X International Academy of Hispanics Award for Scientific and Critical Research on Spanish Literature thanks to her doctoral thesis 'Musical keys in the novels of Alejo Carpentier'.
The work will be published in the Canon Library collection of the Academia del Hispanismo Publishing House as part of this award, which is held annually to recognize the best doctoral theses presented on Spanish literature.
The study, which was defended last May in the Faculty of Letters of the University of Murcia, was directed by the professor of this institution Vicente Cervera Salinas.
