They demand to the City council of Murcia that fulfills the agreement of Plenary session and counts on the opinion of the neighbors agreeing with the company the location in a more suitable place that does not suppose risks for its health

More than a hundred residents of the neighborhood of Los Arocas de Puente Tocinos yesterday expressed outrage at the attempt to place a mobile phone antenna on the terrace of a building, located in one of the busiest areas of the district and close to a school.

There was an installation attempt seven years ago, but the neighbors managed to paralyze the project with demonstrations and protests.

The neighbors, with the support of the Municipal Board, have registered this morning a letter addressed to the city planning councilor, Antonio Navarro, accompanied by more than a hundred signatures, in which they categorically reject the placement of said antenna and express their displeasure at the opacity with the one that is acting the City council of Murcia, without counting on the opinion of the neighbors on a subject that affects them directly.

In this letter they also require him to comply with what was agreed in the Plenary Session of the City Council and have the neighbors before authorizing the corresponding permits, in addition to initiating mediation with the company to find a more suitable place, as was done a few years ago. months ago with a similar conflict in Sangonera La Verde.

The neighbors have expressed their concern about the possible harmful effects to the health of the electromagnetic radiations of said facilities.

Faced with this possibility, they have shown their fear of the repercussions that it could have both for their families and for the children who attend a school that is in the vicinity.

Given the distrust that this situation has generated will begin today to carry out continuous guards to prevent the company from trying, as it did previously, to take advantage of the night to achieve its objective.
