The PSOE regrets that the motion does not prosper asking for the dismissal of the government delegate (22/03/2018)

The Socialist Group, which returns to the side of the neighbors who demand the burying of the train tracks, is approved proposals to obtain extraordinary credit for municipal boards, open monuments of cultural interest to all, encourage the use of the bicycle through an intermodal plan and support the international transport sector

The Municipal Socialist Group regrets that the joint motion filed with Ahora Murcia and Cambiemos Murcia has not gone forward claiming the cessation of the Government of the Region of Murcia, Francisco Martín Bernabé, for his management regarding the burial of the train tracks as it passes through the municipality.

Said request obtained the votes against the PP and Citizens and the abstention of the councilor not assigned Trigueros.

Susana Hernández, spokesperson of the PSOE, recalled that the Government delegate, "as the highest representative of the State in the region, should generate calm and seek solutions and consensus among citizens and not provoke it, which is what it does".

"The Government delegate should think that we are in the Far West and it looks more like a former civil governor," he said to add that it would be advisable that "there was as much security to avoid thefts in the districts like the one on the train tracks. "

"We are even satisfied that there are half of the agents in those towns that operate in the Santiago el Mayor pass," Hernández added in the Plenary Hall, in whose birdhouses neighbors and neighbors who left the City Hall met. cry of 'We do not want wall'.

Regarding the result of the vote, Hernandez criticized the PP and also Citizens, a group he said "is portrayed and is quite in agreement with the performance of the Government delegate, more in favor of repression than normalizing a situation of fair neighborhood demand for the burial ".

In the Plenary the Municipal Group of the PSOE raised five other motions defended by their councilors, four of which were approved.

The Corporation agreed, with the rejection of the PP and the abstention of Citizens, to initiate extraordinary credit file to complete the items of Chapter 6 at the municipal meetings, and Hernandez valued that this "can be executed works such as replacement of sidewalks, the renewal of the asphalting of roads, the remodeling of gardens, the adaptation of sports facilities and the placement of air conditioning in the schools of neighborhoods and districts ".

The proposal of José Vicente Larrosa supporting the international transport and horticultural sector to free new taxes on Murcia trucks that circulate on Spanish and French roads received the nod with the rejection of the PP and the abstention of Citizens.

"It's about avoiding the loss of competitiveness with respect to other countries," said the socialist mayor.

Enrique Ayuso defended a motion to favor the intermodality of the bicycle with an adequate connection to the bus, the tram and the train, which was unanimously approved.

In that sense, he considered it "very necessary" to increase the number of bicycle parking in the city.

For its part, Begoña García Retegui said that the buildings of the municipality declared of Cultural Interest (BIC) are open to the public, which received the unanimous support of the Plenary.

"Murcia's heritage and BIC must be conserved and visited for at least 4 days a month, with a sufficiently widespread opening calendar," he said.

The request to guarantee "decent" pensions, also proposed by García Retegui, was rejected by the PP-Ciudadanos 'pinza' and gave way to an alternative motion of these two formations that found the negative vote of the rest of the parties represented in the Consitution

"We have always defended the public pension system and to see who cares in this country about this issue, we Socialists are especially proud of that," said the socialist mayor.
