The Museum of the University (MUM) inaugurates this afternoon an exhibition of students of the subject'Painting and landscape' of the Faculty of Fine Arts curated by professors Victoria Chezner and Paco Ñíguez.
The event will take place in the José Nicolás Almansa room at 8:00 p.m.
In this eleventh edition of the'Paisaje UM versus' project, the students visited the protected landscape of Cuatro Calas de Águilas to learn about the territory's properties from different areas, with the support of geologists, forest engineers, environmental technicians and biologists.
It is an educational procedure that enriches not only the student's technical knowledge as a painter, but also their emotional intelligence, through the recognition, understanding and acceptance of a territory.
In this way, viewers are participants in this direct communication with space, valuing its cultural identity.
The inauguration will be attended by Mónica Galdana Pérez Morales, Vice-Chancellor of Communication and Culture;
Consuelo Rosauro Meseguer, general director of Medio Medio;
Juan Antonio Lorca Sánchez, general director of Cultural Assets;
Eugenia Hernández Dávalos, representative of the CajaMurcia Foundation and Mariano Flores Gutiérrez, dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts.
The works will remain exposed until May 4 and may be visited from Monday to Friday from 11 to 14 and from 18 to 21 hours.
