"ESports are sports of the 21st century and of the millennial generation that, however, are associated with the values of traditional sports, such as teamwork, skill, strategy and the spirit of overcoming," said José Ballesta , who added that "for the first time our city hosts this competition, the most important in the national arena that, through the virtual world, will fill the seats of the historic Teatro Circo".

This competition has a great reception among fans of video games and, especially, among the youngest, who sold out tickets to attend the event in Murcia in just six days.

The competition will feature, for the first time, an innovative staging that can be enjoyed by on-site spectators and the online public, which is estimated to exceed 80,000 people.

Under the title 'Discovering eSports, an emerging digital sector', the director of the Professional Videogame League, Álvaro Argüelles, the director of Mediapro Digital Area, Jordi Soler, the general director of Information Technology, Juan José Almela as well as the director of Operations of H2K Gaming, Javier Zafra, have analyzed the situation of the sector.
