The PSOE requires the PP to comply with its obligation so that the goods cataloged BIC can be visited, as the Law says (21/03/2018)

The Municipal Socialist Group has submitted a motion to the next Plenary so that the government team of the PP, fulfill its obligation and responsibility and allow that the monuments cataloged as an Asset of Cultural Interest (BIC) can be visited, as established in the Law.

In this sense, Councilor Begoña García Retegui explained that the current Law of Cultural Heritage of the Region of Murcia provides for a public visit to the monuments at least four days a month, in days and hours previously indicated.

The buildings with BIC declaration are the archaeological zone Martirium de La Alberca, Casa Diaz Cassou, Romea Theater, Salzillo Museum, the Wall or the Paleochristian Basilica of Algezares, all of them of public ownership, but there is also the Murcia Casino , the convent of the Agustinas of Corpus Christi, the Jerónimos, Santa Catalina del Monte, the hermitage of the Steps of Santiago or the Vinader Palace, privately owned.

"With most of them, the Law is systematically being violated, which also requires public administrations to cooperate, in fact it is very clear when it establishes that local entities will conserve, protect and promote the conservation and knowledge of the member goods. of the cultural heritage of the Region of Murcia that are located in its territorial scope ", for what the City Council" is jumping with absolute irresponsibility its function of ensuring the integrity and conservation of our heritage. "

For all these reasons, García Retegui asks the Government team to ensure that all BICs in their territorial scope, both those of public and private ownership, are visitable, fulfilling their social function, as established by the norm, giving public dissemination of the dates, days and hours in which they will be effective for general knowledge.

Even, claims that, in case of default by the holders of the BIC, and in the shortest possible time proceed to sue them with all legal means, making public immediately the owner of the property and the actions initiated.
