The Park and Garden Service, under the Department of Modernization of the Administration and Urban Development will re-plant with more than 400,000 grass seeds the green areas of Murcia and districts.
"The system that will be used is a treadmill machine that carries out the plowing of the land, after which recebo and peat are applied and this is achieved so that these seeds grow quickly and give rise to a green and strong lawn", explains the mayor José Guillen.
To do this, for six weeks six people will be responsible for replanting those areas where the action of planting seeds is more necessary.
The main reasons for overseeding are usually the daily traffic of people, the excrement of animals or various adverse weather conditions.
Specifically, clarifies Guillén, will act mainly in the Circular Plaza of Murcia, the Plaza Bohemia, the Malecon, the garden of the Constitution, Beniaján, El Palmar or El Puntal, among others.
Some works that will be carried out coinciding with the arrival of spring, and that will be carried out by members of the concessionary company of parks and gardens, STV Gestión, who has previously made an analysis of the different green areas of the municipality of Murcia.
