The Commission for the Plenary of Employment, Social Rights, Education and Culture has approved in its session today the granting of the Title of the Favorite Son of the City of Murcia to the sculptor Francisco Salzillo, to the former president of the Autonomous Community Andrés Hernández Ros, to the businessman Ángel Martínez Belmonte, the cyclist Alejandro Valverde and the painter José María Falgas.

The approval of the award of the Gold Medal of the City has also been given to the Brotherhood of Slaves of Our Father Jesus of the Rescue and Mary Most Holy of Hope.

Finally the commission has approved the II Plan of Equality of Opportunities between Women and Men of the City of Murcia
