The autonomic secretary of the Presidency, Isabel Bueso, participated today in the act of delivering awards to members of the Local Police of Murcia on the occasion of the feast of St. Patrick, patron of the city and this municipal security body.

The event, chaired by Mayor José Ballesta, took place in the Plaza del Cardenal Belluga, with the image of the Irish saint, the work of Nicolás Salzillo, venerated in the Cathedral.

San Patricio was appointed patron of Murcia on the occasion of the decisive victory of the troops of Murcia and Lorca on the Nasrids of Granada on March 17, 1452, the saint's feast.
