Urban planning initiates the procedures for the opening of a new road that will improve the accesses to San Pío X (15/03/2018)

The Commission of Urbanism and Environment has initiated the procedures that will lead to the improvement of the accesses to San Pío X. For this, this morning has given the green light to the initial approval of the project of obtaining of necessary ground for the opening of the vial from the Carretera de El Palmar.

The objective is to broaden the conditions that Carril de la Condesa currently has, which is of double direction and, when this action is executed, it will reserve the two lanes with a single direction, favoring the exit from the neighborhood towards the highway.

Also, in the southern part another road will open with two lanes of entry to San Pío X.

For this, the Urban Planning Commission has approved the start of the dossier to obtain 2,585 square meters of surface, of which 441 will be allocated to green area and the rest to the new road.

The opening of the new road, from the extension of Moreras street to the El Palmar road, is foreseen in the general urban planning plan and its execution will improve the accessibility and permeability of San Pío X.

The agreement will be submitted to the approval of the Plenary that will take place next week and then a period of 20 days of public information will be opened, before receiving the final approval from the Plenary of the Corporation.

On the other hand, the Urban Planning and Environment Commission has also processed another urban management dossier for local roads, in this case, in El Palmar.

The aim is to obtain 539 square meters of surface area together with Bodegas Bernal for the opening of a new street that connects with a new area of urban development in the district.
