The Governing Council has authorized, at the proposal of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, an agreement with the Catholic University San Antonio (UCAM) so that students who have completed cycles of Vocational Training of Higher Degree can validate credits if they continue their training at this university.
The agreement, which has a validity of four years, establishes the direct relationships between the undergraduate university degrees that are taught in the UCAM and higher education degrees for the recognition of credits.
All the Royal decrees of Higher Education Vocational degrees issued after the LOE contain a regulation of credits (European Credit Transfer System) ECTS, unit of measurement from which the degrees are designed and created within the framework of the European area of higher education.
This regulation establishes that these credits can be validated by the universities, but it is necessary the existence of a prior agreement of each university with the Community for consideration by the National Agency for the Evaluation of Quality and Accreditation (ANECA) and its validity.
