The University of Murcia signs a collective agreement with the company TICARUM (14/03/2018)

This morning has been signed in the convalescent building, headquarters of the Rector of the University of Murcia, the collective agreement with the company Information Technologies, applications and networks for the University of Murcia, SLU.

Francisco Hernández Rodríguez, manager of TICARUM, has highlighted the importance of this agreement and has appreciated the height of view and the proactive attitude maintained on this issue by the UMU at all times.

Hernández Rodríguez has listed some of the innovations provided by the agreement, including the obligation to have a training plan with 50 percent of free positions and release of 20 hours of training for each person, standardization of professional categories for adapt them to the realities of TICARUM, reduction of the working day from 40 to 37.5 hours per week, extension of one day of vacation plus two of own matters, comparison of the conditions of de facto couples with those of spouses or the extension of sickness benefits, as well as other improvements and innovations for the group.

The agreement will have a validity of three years, and will be extended automatically if there is no complaint by any of the parties.

The Rector José Orihuela, for his part, has congratulated himself for the positive of the signed agreement, and has stressed that he personally fought from the beginning because the agreement signed today was a reality, also underlining the work in this regard carried out by the former Vice-Chancellor Bernardo Cascales and Professor Alberto Requena.
