The Councilor for Sports and Health, Felipe Coello presents the XXXIX half marathon Ciudad de Murcia Grand Prix Hipercor to be held this Sunday at 10.00 am and which has a distance of almost 22 kilometers.
In this march will be present between volunteers, staff of the club and professionals (Local Police, Civil Protection, etc.) has more than 400 people who will ensure the safety of the test.
Participate a total of 1,900 runners, 1,600 in half marathon and 300 in first round approximately.
Of these, 1,400 participants will be from the Region of Murcia, and athletes of up to 20 nationalities will participate.
In addition, this year there are 300 women participating in the test.
To perform the test there is a maximum time of 2 hours and 30 minutes to finish the race.
The control of time is done by means of a chip that the athlete must place on his shoe or in the number;
the chips must be returned at the end of the race.
The participants, has been provided with different services, including three refreshment points that will be placed along the route, every 5 kilometers approximately.
There will be a massage and podiatry area, as well as medical attention for athletes during and after the race.
In addition, medical services, computer and delivery of gift bags for runners will be installed at the finish line.
In the Don Juan Manuel Infante Sports Pavilion and the Infante Pool, athletes will be able to find a shower area and changing room.
