Operation Asphalt arrives at La Ñora (13/03/2018)

Today they finish the works that are being executed in the Morera, Carrera, Pasicos de Jesús streets and the provisional parking of the Market.

The City Council is renewing a total of 225 streets and roads of all districts of the municipality, with an investment of 1.5 million euros.

José Ballesta maintains this afternoon a participatory meeting with many neighbors and groups of the district.

The mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, along with the councilman of Pedanías, Participation and Decentralization, Marco Antonio Fernandez, will visit this afternoon the asphalt works that the City Council is carrying out in La Ñora, within the Operation Asphalt, and will hold a meeting participatory with different associations and groups of the district.

The action, which is being carried out in central streets of the hamlet that register a high traffic of daily vehicles, responds to the request made by neighbors and is part of Operation Asphalt, for which the City is renewing a total of 225 streets and roads of all districts of the municipality, with an overall length of over 43,000 linear kilometers.

All these streets have been proposed and approved by the different municipal councils, prioritizing the asphalting of those that are in worse condition or that are more used by the neighbors.

The City Council's investment amounts to 1.5 million euros.

The project includes road repairs, road surface painting, repaving and paving of streets, with the aim of eliminating potholes, deformations and other damages, thus improving road safety.

Specifically in La Ñora the works that began last Friday and will end today are being developed in Morera Street, Pasicos de Jesús Street, in the provisional parking lot of the Market and Carrera Street.

In total, the renovation of the asphalt affects 3,600 m2

The neighbors are involved in the improvement of the town

During his visit, José Ballesta will hold a participatory meeting with a large group of residents and representatives of the associations and groups of the district, who will transfer to the mayor his proposals and ideas for improvement for the town.

In particular will attend members of the Brotherhood of Our Lady of the Step, Senior Center, Center for Women, AMPA Cipriano Galea and AMPA Our Lady of the Step.
