The Municipal Socialist Group has promoted half a hundred investments in the districts with a charge of 14 million euros that became one of the unwaivable demands to issue a vote of abstention that allowed to approve the accounts for the past year and which are extended.

"We have always been moved by the desire to correct the inequalities of the districts compared to the center of Murcia, so we took advantage of the negotiation of the 2017 Budget to reduce this existing imbalance because of the more than 20 years of PP government" , has explained the socialist spokeswoman, Susana Hernandez, who remembers that tomorrow the Commission of the Extraordinary Plan of Investments in Pedanías is celebrated to treat all the programmed investments.

Among the works that will be executed are the rehabilitation of the old Aljucer clinic as a municipal center, the expansion of the municipal centers of Nonduermas, Santo Ángel and Rincón de Beniscornia, new centers in Bacons Bridge, Santiago el Mayor and Llano de Brujas, housing for the sports courts of schools in San Pío, La Arboleja, Avileses and Beniaján, conditioning facilities for seniors in Espinardo, Cabezo de Torres and La Ñora, new sports tracks in Algezares or new office in Javalí Nuevo.

In addition, study rooms have been projected in El Raal, in San José de la Vega and Zeneta, grass in the Guadeloupe football field, a garden for La Raya and the transfer of the El Palmar library to the old Escuelas Nuevas school.

Also, paving and construction of sidewalks are planned.

Hernandez said that "these investments are going to be a great revulsive for our districts, for which we must continue to bet because there are many existing needs and many services that far from improving are deteriorating because of the little interest of Ballesta's team."

In this sense, the socialist spokesman has warned that the districts "will continue to be our flag for the PSOE", especially when "we observe that the City Council does not hide its preference for the center of the city to the detriment of the districts, there is no more to see that another 14 million euros from the European Regional Development Fund (EDUSI) will be used for megalomaniacal projects in the city center, such as the river walk between the Manterola Bridge and the Paseo del Malecon, and that the mayor seems to forget that the river crosses many of our districts, such as La Raya, where the president of the Municipal Board has requested the refurbishment of the meanders for landscaped and leisure areas ".

Susana Hernandez has insisted that the projects that have prioritized the municipal boards for this Extraordinary Plan, included in the 2017 Budget, are basic, to serve the neighbors, especially the elderly and schoolchildren.

In addition, "these are historical claims that have not been met to date."
